Established plantings at Twyford Moor

We were really excited to get new pictures this week of one of our landscape design projects, where the plantings are now more established. The 1970s prairie-style house is set within the South Downs National Park and overlooks the River Itchen valley. We wanted to retain an understated feel to the garden due to the close relationship with the landscape beyond, which was quite a challenge. The planting took months to refine and to remove unnecessary decorative detail. The final plant mix is defined by a river of ornamental grass and other supporting species, which will change in character through the seasons.
