This beautiful mid-century house underwent expansion and modernisation, necessitating a redesign and restoration of the garden. Given that the original garden was crafted by John Brookes in the 1970s, our aim was to fashion a space that paid homage to his enduring legacy.


For inspiration, the project turned to the garden at Denmans, John Brookes’ former residence. The essential components of water, rocks, gravel, natural planting, and expansive lawns served as the foundation.
Adjacent to the contemporary glass-fronted cloister, a new modern water feature was meticulously designed to feed the meandering stream, which gracefully descended into the natural pond.
